Tamil Nadu Voters List 2025: Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are just a few months away in 2026, and now it is time for all voters do the only task, i.e. check whether your name or your relative’s name appears on the Tamil Nadu voters list.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has initiated a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Tamil Nadu and in some other states. The goal? To have all the eligible citizens properly registered and prepared to vote next year when the state is courageous to the polls.
The ECI informed the Madras High Court last month that the revision exercise would commence in Tamil Nadu as a part of a nationwide exercise of cleaning up and updating voter lists. To ensure that the process is smooth, the Commission has already consulted Chief Electoral Officers in the country.
This SIR exercise is not only in Tamil Nadu, but also in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Now, you have to select the option which reads search your name in electoral roll.
You can search in three ways:
Search through the EPIC number (Elector Photo Identity Card).

This is the quickest and the most precise one in case you already have your voter ID card.
Key in your voter ID (EPIC number) (in printed form).
Choose Tamil Nadu on the state drop-down list.
Enter the Captcha code displayed on the screen.
Click on “Search.”
The voting information ought to be displayed on the screen immediately.
- Click on “Search by details.”
- Choose a state and a language (Tamil or English).
- Please put the following information:
- Name (or name of your relative in case you check on behalf of a person)
- Date of birth (according to your official records)
- Gender
District and constituency
Enter the Captcha code and press on the search.
The voting information ought to be displayed on the screen immediately.

This is another convenient method in case your voter registration document is attached to your mobile number.
Click on “Search by Mobile.”
Choose state and language.
Enter your mobile number.
Enter the Captcha code and press Son OTP.
You will get an OTP on your phone.
Specify the OTP and click on Search.
The information that will be shown on the screen is your voter information.
